Exhaust hoods
Category: News
Whether they’re integrated into upper cabinets or mounted to the wall above the stove – exhaust hoods are part of many kitchens. They filter grease from the air and reduce smells that develop while cooking, frying or baking.
Regular cleaning is crucial to ensure their good and steady performance. The filter must be thoroughly freed of grease and other dirt in certain intervals: The more grease it has absorbed already, the lower the filter effect will be. This is the case for air-outlet hoods as well as recirculated-air hoods and hybrid technologies. Additionally, the locked-in grease tends to harden after a while. To clean the exhaust hood’s metal filter manually involves extensive scrubbing, though. And due to their large format, they often don’t fit in the dishwasher. The Thermostar is the ideal tool to get the filters grease-free quickly: The dry steam’s heat loosens the grease easily, and the high pressure cleans the filter’s pores without any residue. The inside of the hood can also be cleaned with the steam nozzle down to the last corner. A special benefit: As no additional cleaning agents are required, you will not contaminate the air above the stove with chemical fumes possibly left over from cleaning the next time you turn your exhaust hood on.
